My Story
I was born and raised on a large farming property in the Southern Tablelands of NSW. It was here that I learned the true meaning of hard work, responsibility and an undeniable love for animals.
My story dates back to 2007 when as a child my parents surprised my siblings and I with a ruby and white cavoodle puppy as a Christmas present. We named her Missy.
She wasn’t our farms average working dog. She was by far more fluffy, more gentle and certainly more spoiled. But none the less, she fit right in.
I immediately found an admiration for her placid and gentle nature and completely fell in love with the breed. She soon became a cherished part of our family and over the years she taught me everything life on the land could not.
Fast forward well over a decade later, after having moved out of home and coming to the end of completing my tertiary studies I knew the time was right for me to welcome my very own cavoodle, Ophelia, into my life. Ophy is still with me today and is rightfully the heart and soul of Ruby Paws.
After many years of experience, I now encompass a vast knowledge and respect of a breed I absolutely adore. I founded Ruby Paws with the mission to ensure I gift you a puppy that will bring you as much joy and unconditional love my dogs have brought me.
Our Kennel
Ruby Paws is an established small scale, ethical breeding kennel situated on a rural property within the beautiful Upper Lachlan area of the NSW Southern Tablelands. We are located approximately two hours from Sydney and one hour from the ACT.
At Ruby Paws we specialise in breeding miniature Cavoodle puppies that are ruby red in colour. Our breeding program consists of Purebred Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Purebred Miniature and Toy sized Poodles as well as F1 Cavoodles. From our dogs we produce a variety of F1 and F1B puppies that will range from 4-10 kilograms once fully grown.
Guardian Home Program
The adult dogs that make up our breeding kennel are part of our Guardian Home Program, where they live with their forever families and return to us to raise their litters.
All our dogs and puppies are considered family at Ruby Paws and we strongly believe animals should not be kept in a kennelled environment. That is why we designed our guardian home program to allow us to home our dogs with devoted families close by, where they are raised from puppies and guaranteed a wholesome life. Our mother dogs only have 1-3 litters over the course of their breeding lifetime and are desexed upon retirement.
Where Our Puppies Live
Our stunning acreage is where we raise our puppies from birth before they are ready to leave our care. It is here we have professional facilities where we provide around the clock care for our puppies and their mums. Our property boasts a safe home with boundless room for them to thrive during their fundamental stages of development.
Our puppies are birthed and raised in a fully equipped, purpose-built nursery which is just meters distance from our family home. Their sleeping quarters are climate controlled, CCTV monitored and are cleaned thoroughly every day. Once old enough our puppies begin socialisation with our other farm animals spending their days enjoying a relaxing lifestyle, playing together outside in the fresh country air with the freedom to come inside as they please. It truly is a puppy haven.

From the moment we established our breeding kennel, we made it our priority to ensure all our puppies are happy, healthy and well-adjusted so when they are ready to leave our care, they make a beautiful and loving family pet.
We are well educated on the devastating diseases and health issues that can affect CKCS and Poodles. With this knowledge, we have meticulously handpicked our breeding lines ensuring all our puppies’ parents are genetically clear of passing on any hereditary diseases that may hinder their puppies from having a happy and healthy life.
Over the past decade we have made it our mission to breed the perfect Cavoodle that is as beautiful on the outside as they are on the inside.
Temperament and personality are also vital traits we considered when building our breeding program. So much so, we carefully plan the mating of each litter we have, selecting the best Sire for each Dam allowing them to produce their most exceptional offspring.
We do not breed dogs for the purpose of just having puppies ready to profit off. We are ethical breeders with a true purpose of producing puppies of outstanding quality to preserve a breed we cherish.
Apart from the health and happiness of our dogs and puppies the other most fundamental thing we consider is who our puppies end up with once they leave our care.
